Sebastiano Floris obtained his high school diploma in Switzerland and a law degree from the University of Cagliari.

After a legal internship in Milan, he began his career as an independent legal advisor in Bern in 1980, where he established the first legal consultancy firm specializing in Italian law on Swiss soil. Earning the trust of the Italian Embassy in Switzerland, he was, from 1991, awarded a prominent agreement, endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to provide legal advice to the Embassy and its Consular network. This collaboration continued until 2004, when he shifted his focus to major commitments in corporate and real estate law.

Today, his firm has evolved into a joint-stock company known as FLD SA.

Sebastiano serves on various boards of directors and maintains strong professional relationships with entrepreneurs in both Switzerland and Italy, assisting them with company formation, investments, contract drafting, and the resolution of contractual disputes.

In collaboration with Dr. Francesco Anchini, Notary and former Referent of the Italian National Arbitration Commission, he co-authored the New Rules of the Arbitration Chamber for the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland (CCIS) and Miami (Florida), as well as for the CAIE (Italian Overseas Arbitration Center).
